Hello Commanders, 

With all the recent advancements in fighter jet, combat drone, submarine and ICBM technologies, militaries around the world continue to invest in conventional artillery – and for good reason. When it comes to immediate combat effectiveness on the modern long distanced battlefield, few options beat the punishing indirect fire capabilities of self-propelled artillery. They can dish out a massive volley into a distant position, then relocate to safety before the enemy can respond. 

The Odachi

The Odachi is the next in a long line of powerful self-propelled artillery in WCRA. Like the Hurricane, it will deal damage over a wide splash radius at extended range, but with a fire rate more reminiscent of the Juggernaut. Inspired by the German Panzerhaubitze 2000 and Artillerie-Geschütz-Modul as well as the French 150mm CAESAR Unimog U2450L, the Odachi is the embodiment of slow moving long range death with a massive main gun on the back of a sturdy half-track chassis.  

With mid-level health, slow speed and long range, the Odachi is best used from the backline, firing mortar volleys over the cover of friendly tanks. Its primary weapon delivers destructive ballistic rounds farther than any other unit on the battlefield, with further weapon and equipment options to further boost damage to either platforms or defensive wave buildings.
