Hello Commanders, 

No one truly understands just how fast a jet fighter is until seeing one up close. My family went camping in a small Southern California valley when I was younger, which to my surprise, ended up being directly next to an Air Force base. I still remember looking up in awe as F-15s screamed past, watching them clear the long valley in mere seconds when it had taken our family camper van close to an hour. This not only gave me a lasting respect for these flying weapons but how quickly they can strike, which reminds me of the Wyvern’s extreme speed.

The J-20 Wyvern

WCRA’s newest strike aircraft is based on recent advancements in aerial technology, modeled after a variety of fifth-generation jet fighters. The silhouette of the J-20 Wyvern is based on the Chinese Chengdu J-20, nicknamed the Mighty Dragon, with an arsenal inspired by the Eurofighter Typhoon and colouring reminiscent of the Russian Sukhoi Su-57. 

While in-game, it screams into battle faster than anything else and delivers a massively powerful initial blast, followed by sustained Fire DOT punishment. Unlike the Super Hornet, which offers a variety of loadouts to take out both enemy units and defensive fortifications, the J-20 Wyvern is specialized. It can demolish even the most heavily reinforced defensive wave buildings in a single sweep then make quick work of heavy turrets. 

To maximize combat effectiveness, don’t let it make a sortie alone and consider equipping advanced countermeasure options to help protect from SAM Turrets. The J-20 Wyvern can’t stand up to sustained rocket and flak fire, so be sure to shield your strikes with the mighty bulk of the Ares or other tank units to draw fire away from these precision tools of destruction.
