As another month rolls by, it’s time to take a look at what’s coming up in June. From two new units to performance improvements, it’s a packed month, let’s dive in!


ELITE SPARTAN & ATLAS RISING FEATURE EVENT

The Elite Spartan brings a big boost to health and a versatile countermeasure suite. Choose between anti-rocket, anti-missile, or anti-mortar countermeasures to perfect your offensive and defensive tactics. It shines in base defence, where its lowered deployment times can mean the difference between a victory or loss. With its boosted health, try using it to shield more fragile units. Get the Elite Spartan in the June Feature Event, ATLAS RISING, beginning 9AM PDT on Thursday, June 11th

EQUIPMENT BLUEPRINT PURCHASE

You’re now able to purchase unit blueprints with gold, but equipment blueprints will also be available soon. If you’ve missed out on an equipment blueprint you’ve been hoping to unlock, you’ll have a chance to directly unlock it from each unit’s equipment screen.

ONE-CLICK PROMOTION & PROMOTION

Following up on direct Unit Blueprint Purchasing and Equipment Purchasing, you’ll soon be able to use gold to instantly promote units and upgrade equipment. Instead of using gold to separately purchase tech commons, unit crits, or unit commons, with a single tap of a button, promote units or upgrade tech. We hope you enjoy the streamlined process!

JUNE BUILDING UPDATE

June’s update brings a building update, including a new level for the Platforms and Barriers. Keep an eye out for the full briefing on Monday, June 1st.

BUG FIXES & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

Some behind the scenes engineering work is currently in progress. This includes but isn’t limited to: a number of Tutorial bug fixes; number of fixes for crashes from various sources; optimizing texture memory footprint in combat; addressing GPU crashes on Adreno 5x series; optimizing combat performance.

These are included in the 4.7 and 4.8 update. The tutorial will be a much smoother experience as there were a few scenarios where the game could get stuck and not allow for further progression. We’re also working on the #1 source of crashing on Android, which had appeared in certain circumstances when an offer would load while the device screen was turned off then back on. All textures are being reviewed and optimized to improve memory footprint in game while retaining visual quality. An OpenGL v2/v3 crash when scouting a map on Android GPU Adreno 5xx series has been fixed. Some combat optimization has been done around secondary weapon auto targeting so that it does not impede frame rate.

 We hope these improvements, plus more in the future, will help make your gameplay experience better overall.

COMING SOON: AC-19 ARES & NEW WORLD MAP EVENT

Get ready for the first Tier 9 Fixed Wing unit, the AC-19 Ares! This marks the beginning of a new type of World Map activity where players at level 70 or above can gain event currency by attacking Strongholds and in PvP, then use that currency in the event store on the Ares blueprint and equipment. Unlike other units, the Ares will be released in three separate phases, one phase per month, and 5 new levels in each phase. We hope you’re excited about this as we are, and enjoy the ample time to get your hands on it.
